The Android operation system is no longer existed in higher-end smartphones only. There are more selections available in the market for consumers to choose an entry level Android smartphone now a day. Sony Ericsson announced X10 mini and X10 mini pro with marketing point as small and economic Android smartphones. HTC has also introduced its newest family member, HTC A3333 Wildfire, who also falls in the same category as entry level Android smartphones.

If looking at the appearance of the HTC Wildfire, it looks just like a mini version of HTC Desire. It uses Qualcomm MSM 7225 528 MHz processor with built-in 512MB ROM, 384MB RAM. Although it does not give an exceptional speed, none of the less, Wildfire still gives a processing speed that smoothly runs applications.

HTC A3333 Wildfire unlocked cellular phone composes of 240 x 320 pixels, 3.2 inches TFT capacitive touchscreen with multi-touch input method. It provides beautiful colour for displaying pictures. Even though Wildfire is introduced as an entry level smartphone, it still comes with a 5.0MP auto-focusing built-in camera and a LED flash for user to capture the special moments. The LED flash can also work as an adjustable brightness flashlight. There is also Wi-Fi, FM radio, AGPS, Bluetooth, and 2GB microSD memory card included in the phone.

Wildfire installed Android v2.1 Eclair operation system. The HTC exclusive user interface, HTC Sense UI is installed as well to have easier controlling for the phone. The fun experience of HTC Friend Stream is undeniable. It can make a one-click access to social networking websites such as Facebook, Twitter, Flickr, MySpace, etc. User can also share thoughts with friends, or upload pictures from mobile directly. Furthermore, HTC Wildfire has a function that allow user to check history of the latest call, text message, e-mail, and latest update from the above social networking websites for every single contact of the contact list.

Wildfire supports GSM Quad-band network as well as 900 / 2100 MHz WCDMA/HSDPA.
